Commemorative memorial book containing a list of names of members of telegraph company staff who gave their lives during World War One.
The book was originally displayed as part of a large marble memorial in the entrance hall to Electra House, the Head Office of Cable and Wireless in London. The book was contained in a wooden case with a hinged glass front. A light above the book was always kept burning and a page was turned every day.
The memorial was taken down when Cable and Wireless moved their Head Office to a new building in London. The memorial is currently stored at the Telegraph Museum Porthcurno.
