Ideas Cafè: From the Internet to the Stone Age – Connectivity and Cornwall

On 17th October, join Professor Paul Davies from Bath Spa University to explore Cornwall and its connectivity.
The Telegraph Museum showcases Cornwall’s role in shaping the telegraphic and communications network during the Victorian era, but Cornwall’s connectivity did not start there. Going back to the Bronze Age, Cornish tin connected Cornwall to the World (as it was then known).
In this Ideas Cafè, Professor Paul Davies of Bath Spa University will consider other connections with Cornwall’s past – from monuments to material culture. Exploring how far back in prehistory such evidence can be pursued, and what those connections might mean.
This Ideas Cafè talk is free, and perfect for that adult curious mind. Arrive at 18.30 for a 19.00 start, head to the Clore Learning Space in the Wilshaw Building (adjacent t the car park).
