As well as looking after thousands of objects, the Telegraph Museum’s Collections Team also cares for over 1300 film and audio files, including over 300 film reels. Some of these have been recently digitised, allowing them to be viewed and enjoyed for the first time in decades.
Join our Collections Manager, Charlotte Dando, for a screening of some of these films revealing life in Porthcurno in the 1950s and 60s, from the training of students at the international Cable & Wireless College to the annual sports day, these films provide a wonderful snapshot of valley life. A spook film titled ‘PK!’ and created by college students in 1967 is a new addition to the archive and not to be missed.
