Ideas Café presents 'How Animals Communicate Using Colours and Patterns' - 10th August

Join us in this FREE evening Ideas Café Talk: ‘How Animals Communicate Using Colours and Patterns’.

From birds to beetles, animals use a striking diversity of colours and patterns to communicate with each other. However, the way that these signals work and evolve varies greatly, and they are used for many functions. Some animals use bright colours to warn predators that they are dangerous or to attract mates. Others hide signals through camouflage and mimicry.

Join speaker Dr Martin Stevens, of University of Exeter Biosciences, as he discusses how animals use these colour signals to communicate and convey information to one another, or to manipulate and deceive others.
