Here is a sneak preview at some of our retrospective cataloging work.
A major part of the work of the Collections Team is to let people know what historic material we hold in the archive store room.
This is done by having a searchable catalogue, and using key words to find relevant documents and artefacts. By providing as much detailed information as possible we can help researchers and other staff to find the information they are looking for.
Work on the catalogue might involve creating new database entries, updating and adding information on existing entries or linking similar documents with relative materials. The more information we can provide, the more researchers and staff can get out of the archive.
