Young Curators Programme

Telegraph Museum Porthcurno is looking for young creative minds to take part in their Young Curator programme.

Over the next 4 years, the museum will be hosting a range of digital activities through NPO funded projects. Working with partners such as the Games Academy at Falmouth University, Cornwall Rural Community Trust, Code Club SW and Software Cornwall we will explore different perspectives through digital creativity and experimentation.

International Impact

Through these projects, we can offer new ways of investigating the history of the museum as a site of global communication. Porthcurno may be a rural Cornish location but beneath the waves and granite hide a past driven by technology and innovation.

We want to enable young people to have a voice at the museum and to make it their own through creative and digital technologies. We are looking for young social media creatives, designers, bloggers, vloggers, filmmakers, illustrators and photographers.

Digital Innovation

With funding, we have invested in equipment to document and uncover our amazing museum. Many precious objects are hidden away in collection stores and our vast archive is home to thousands of photographs from around the world. With smartphone rigs, we can make films and mini-documentaries. We also have use of a 360° camera which can capture interactive views of the galleries.
